Air Transport. Air transport characteristics

Migrating has always been part of human life, since the most primitive peoples. With technological evolutions, the displacement of people and goods, there have been immense changes as to how it happens, currently there are many options for transport.
After the Industrial Revolution, the need to use means of transport intensified, thus, the locomotive appeared, later the automobiles and soon after the planes, which was a milestone for the humanity.
Air transport transports people and goods by air (origin of the name), the responsible vehicles are planes and helicopters.
Since the Second World War, there has been an increase in the use of planes as a means of transport, as they enable a fast travel, regardless of the place where you intend to arrive, considering that the trips, previously carried out on ships, lasted months.
Airplanes do not perform functions solely aimed at international transport, on the contrary, the air flow within countries is large.
The means of transport in question had a significant growth in the last three decades, with emphasis on the transport of people, this fact was stemming from structural changes in the sector: modernization of aircraft and accessibility of people to transport in the face of lower prices for tickets.

In the aircraft production sector, the most prominent companies in the world are: Boeing and Airbus, which aim to manufacture models with the capacity to transport up to 800 passengers, in order to reduce costs and offer the lowest price service to the user.
The transport of people has grown a lot, but the same does not happen with cargo. Air cargo transport has a high cost resulting from the inability to move large volume, in addition, the expenses with maintenance (spare parts) of the aircraft and also with oil are high. Thus, air cargo transport occurs only in specific cases: light cargo, perishable products and the need for speed in delivering or receiving something. Despite the importance that this means of transport has in the world, it has faced several crises, which are caused due to the high cost of operating the aircraft and administrative activities, this process takes place in places other than the globe. In 2007, Brazil faced an “air blackout”, a fact triggered by an economic crisis in the sector, causing, in some cases, the bankruptcy of some companies in the sector.
