See 10 tips for passing a public tender

The search for a vacancy in the public service becomes the goal of thousands of people every day. The attractive salary and, above all, the stability conferred by the statutory regime are the main characteristics that lead tenderers to face hours of study until approval.

However, this is not an easy battle. It can take months or even years of preparation, and it takes time, determination, money and a lot of focus. If you've been on the walk for a while or plan to start now, here are some tips that can help you along the way to victory.

1. Start by trying to identify which it's the area you most identify with. Legal career, Courts, Police. For this, observe the type of activity that will develop, and not just the salary. That will be your job and it's no use earning a good wage if you don't like what you do.

2. Once that is set, start plan the study. Do not wait for the notice to come out, as the time between the publication of the contest rules and the test is usually short, around two to three months. So, the ideal is that you search in public notices and previous tests to start to get a sense of how and what is charged at the selective.

3. Knowing what the subjects are, it's time to prepare a study plan. You can choose whether to study alone or in a preparatory course. This decision depends on the time and financial resources you have available. Even in the prep course, systematic study at home, reviewing the material, is essential.

4. Don't worry about the number of hours to study per day. This depends on a number of individual factors. The important thing is that you follow the study schedule and when studying, concentrate fully on that activity.

5. Combine theoretical study with solving exercises. Ever. Take previous evidence and resolve. Exhaustive exercise resolution represents 70% of your approval. By solving the previous tests, you will find the characteristics of the panel and the way in which the matter is charged. Try to understand the wrong issues, put together a schematic by correcting them, and read it often.

6. Focus on the content of the Notice and nothing else. It's no use thinking that if you study beyond what is in the notice, you will have more chances. This is a waste of time. Get all the content and, as you study, mark the topics that are already exhausted.

7. Don't call the competition or with the number of vacancies offered in the notice. Most candidates are not prepared and most end up not taking the tests, which gives them an advantage. It is quite common for competitions to call approved beyond the initial number of vacancies. You should only worry about studying the entire syllabus.

8. Invest in study material, but don't pick up any and all materials you find. Try to concentrate all the theoretical part on what is really necessary. See, for example, a single online course with video and PDF material and subscribe to a channel to download proofs and resolve issues. This can already be efficient, if used well. Shooting everywhere, buying books and handouts, is not the best solution.

9. Take at least one day of total rest. This could be on Sunday. Try to relax by watching a good movie or hanging out with friends. Respect yourself! Sometimes we are saturated and even insisting we cannot evolve. On those days, even during the week, take a break, watch some TV, eat, sleep and then come back. Just don't let it become a habit.

10. Don't be discouraged and don't listen to negative people. There will always be people saying that passing a contest is practically impossible, that they are marked cards, etc. People will always show up asking you to go out on that day when the study is yielding, so keep your focus, the end result is worth it.
