The National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) decided that the delivery of specific medicines in patients' homes it will be a definitive practice. This has been happening since the pandemic period of Covid-19, on a provisional basis.
However, the measure has a change: now, there is a maximum quantity of products that can be delivered.

During confinement, the number was greater, reaching up to 18 ampoules — or enough to guarantee six months of treatment with the medicines. Now, however, delivery must only consider 60 days of treatment.
Understand how remote delivery of controlled medications will work
To the pharmacies and drugstores will need to meet some requirements when bringing such medicines to patients' homes. Between them:
Have the medical prescription on hand, both physical and electronic, before performing the service;
All information present in the prescription must be verified, aiming at the validity, type and quantity of the medicine;
The pharmacist needs to guide the person about the necessary care when using medicines;
The pharmacy and/or drugstore must keep the original version of the prescription;
The establishments' data system must keep track of recipes for health authorities;
Establishments must require the signature of those responsible for delivery.
Anvisa also decreed that public and private establishments and those focused on government programs are authorized for remote delivery, as long as they follow all the measures above.
