Increased transport costs

One of the main consequences of the increase in fuel prices is the increase in transport costs. This directly affects the logistics sector, which depends on fuel to move goods from one point to another.

With higher prices, companies have to pass these increases on to consumers, which results in higher prices for products and services.

Impact on inflation

The increase in fuel prices also has a direct impact on inflation. As mentioned earlier, rising transport costs are also paid for by consumers, which leads to a general rise in prices.

Consequently, it also affects people's purchasing power, who need to allocate a larger portion of their income to purchase basic products.
