Japanese company imposes time restriction and reaps benefits
The feature with the most beloved gang in Brazil had its first teaser released yesterday (28), leaving everyone with that crazy desire to watch the full movie! Recorded in Minas Gerais and São Paulo, the story will tell the adventures of the gang to find Floquinho, Cebolinha's dog.
Throughout the plot, some references can be noticed, in addition to the appearance of Maurício de Sousa himself. The film is directed by Daniel Rezende, the same as Bingo, the King of Mornings, which tells the story of the clown Bozo.
The characters are played by Kevin Vechiatto (Cebolinha), Gabriel Moreira (Smudge), Giulia Barreto (Mônica) and Laura Raseo (Magali). The cast also has Paulo Vilhena as Seu Cebola, Mônica Iozzi as Dona Lurdinha and Ravel Cabral in the role of Homem do Saco.
The production adapts the 2013 graphic novel of the same name, part of the line that delivers Mauricio de Sousa's characters to other authors, Graphic MSP. With a script written by Thiago Dottori, Monica's Gang – Ties is scheduled to debut next year.
