People who consume fried foods like potato chips and snack foods, which are low in nutrients, may experience an increase in their anxiety levels.

Study result

The study came to the conclusion that people who consumed greater amounts of fruit had a lower risk of developing depression. In addition, the mental well-being of respondents improved. While this is happening, those who frequently consume salty and low-fat foods nutrients have a higher risk of developing daily mental decline, including cognitive impairment and poorer health mental.

In this sense, the results showed that, after the inclusion of a series of variables, the frequency of fruits negatively predicted the occurrence of depression and positively predicted the occurrence of well-being psychological. On the other hand, salty snacks effectively mitigate the effects of anxiety, they added.

Therefore, the ideal thing is for people to increase their consumption of fruits and organic foods to help regulate stress and anxiety levels. A balanced diet is essential to better perform daily activities and avoid emotional and psychological imbalances.
