Some positions have changed, but the list still has a majority of Americans, despite the fact that the highest place on the podium does not include an American.

10. Steve Ballmer – $79.7 billion

Steven Anthony Balmer was one of the first hired by the giant Microsoft. The American worked his way up through the company, becoming CEO between 2000 and 2014. He also has stakes in the Los Angeles Clippers basketball team.

The Indian is CEO, chairman and majority shareholder of Reliance Industries Limited, which is India's largest private company.

The American is co-founder, chief technology officer and former CEO of Oracle, a software company.
