Situations like these are being repeated with a certain frequency with the so-called “super-qualified professionals”, so the number of complaints about the situation has increased. Follow the reading and understand more about the problem faced by these citizens who need to return to the job market, but cannot.

Why is this happening?

The term “overqualified” is used to refer to those people who have higher education, courses and work experience, but cannot find a job. vacancy that offers benefits that are in line with their knowledge and skills, so they end up having to apply for opportunities that are below their "fair".

The issue is that when they try to go through a process for a vacancy that is “inferior” to the qualifications gathered so far, they they end up hearing that they are too good for the position, so they are not allowed to continue in the race, which keeps them unemployed. It is not yet known why companies are encouraging this type of practice, since – in theory – a more qualified person should have a greater advantage in selection.

What is believed at the moment, after the large number of situations like these, is that this has been happening because contractors believe that people who are at a higher level superior academic and technical preparation will leave that vacancy as soon as something better comes along, since the opportunity in question is for much simpler activities and that take less. The entire process would result in a cost to the company.

This is still true, because when a firm decides to hire someone, it ends up admitting expenses to invest in that employee. Therefore, it makes no sense that they want to hire people who – most likely – will want to leave there in search of something that matches their skills.
