Learn more about the two coca cola products

In 1982, Coca-Cola Light first appeared on the international market and quickly became a huge success. That's because no other low-calorie beverage could match the taste that the Coca-Cola formula has. That way, for the first time in history, people weren't sad at the thought of diets and sodas.

However, it was in 2005, when everyone realized that Coca-Cola had stopped producing it, that Coke Zero was born. The aim was for this new beverage to be even more comparable to traditional Coca-Cola, with a distinct sugar taste despite its absence from the formula.

But after all, what is the difference between coca cola zero and light?

Both Coke Light and Coke Zero do not have sugar or calories in their compositions, although many of the ingredients are similar. Both are composed of phosphoric acid, natural flavors, degassed water, caramelized sugar, potassium benzoate, aspartame and coffee.

However, Coke Zero contains two ingredients that the light version does not: potassium citrate and potassium acesulfame. Thus, Coca Light has citric acid, or lemon, in its formula, which gives the drink greater acidity. And although the differences seem small, they are what cause changes in taste.

What's the healthiest option?

If you're looking for a healthier alternative to Coke, both options fall under that heading. category, as both use a significant amount of sugar and consume an excessive amount of calories. Therefore, it is up to the consumer to choose the product that most pleases him.
