The ticket of president-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and his vice-president-elect, Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) will be certified today, starting at 2 pm, at the Superior Electoral Court (Tribunal Superior Eleitoral).TSE).
The event officially marks the end of the electoral process. At the ceremony, the president and vice president will receive a diploma signed by the president of the TSE, Minister Alexandre de Moraes.
What is diplomacy?
The certification certifies that the Brazilian Electoral Court carried out the counting of the ballot boxes, as well as analyzed the party accounts, certifies the veracity of the elections and confirms that the candidates are able to assume the positions.
Lula will speak at the event. Authorities from the three powers (Judiciary, Legislative and Executive) will be present. Despite the diplomacy, Lula and Alckmin will only take over the government on January 1, 2023.

reinforced security
The TSE will reinforce security at the event. The government of the Federal District also stated that it will increase security in the region and blockades on access roads to the TSE.
Diplomatic security will be reinforced due to protests against the results of the polls.

Ministries of the new government
Last week, the president-elect announced 5 names that will assume ministries in the new government. In a press conference, Lula confirmed the following names:
Fernando Haddad on the Treasury, José Múcio Monteiro for Defense, the governor of Bahia, Rui Costa, for the head of the Civil House, the ex-governor of Maranhão and senator-elect Flávio Dino for Justice and Public Security, and the Brazilian ambassador in Croatia, Mauro Vieira, for the Itamaraty.
Lula has not yet informed the name that should head the Ministry of Education.
