Acknowledgments from TCC (ready model and examples)

The TCC (Course Completion Paper) acknowledgments consist of a page where the author of the paper has the opportunity to show his gratitude to everything and everyone who helped him through the process of apprenticeship.

Although this page is not considered mandatory by the ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Standards) and does not interfere with the grade of a work, many students insist on inserting it.

Ready-made thank you template

With regard to formatting, ABNT standards recommend the following:

  • Title: in capital letters and bold

Thanks and dedication from TCC

Although many people confuse the dedication with thanks from TCC, such terms designate different concepts.

Acknowledgments consist of a page where the author expresses his gratitude to people, institutions and/or entities considered by him to be useful in the development of the work.

The dedication, in turn, is an integral part of the TCC where the author has the opportunity to honor someone very important in his life. This honoree may or may not have had a direct impact on the performance of the work.

Examples of TCC Dedication

Check out some examples of dedication below.

  • To my parents, for never making efforts to provide me with quality education throughout my school term.
  • To my advisor, who conducted the work with patience and dedication, always available to share all his vast knowledge.
  • To my brothers, for their companionship, complicity and support in all the delicate moments of my life.
