Tips for Introducing an Essay

The introduction of an essay integrates the textual construction and from it the reader remains in the text or not.

Regardless of the textual genre, it is in the introduction that the reader is introduced to all the content that will be deposited in the development and conclusion.

It is important to predict how to introduce the elements of the writing considering, already in the first sentence, the theme to be discussed.

The essays can be:

  • Institutional or advertising.

Introduction to the Narrative Text

You time markers they are responsible for exposing the facts in the narrative texts. Thus, the introduction should point out the time or time when such facts occurred.

  • The theme must be presented in the first sentence
  • There's no way around it already in the first sentence of the first paragraph
  • The author's line of reasoning is also inserted in the first paragraph.
  • The goal is to convince the reader

The Introduction in the Explanatory Text

The purpose of explanatory writing is to present specific information on a particular topic.

In this type of text, the reader now has Details of knowledge that will be presented to you for the first time or that will be perfected.

Features

  • Use of predicates organized around verbs, mainly: to be, to have, to contain, to consist, to understand, to indicate, to signify, to build, to name, to designate;
  • Use of punctuation marks that introduce explanations or quotations, such as: colons, parentheses, quotation marks, and dashes;
  • Use of explanatory coordinated clauses introduced by conjunctions because and why;
  • Adjective and explanatory sentences;
  • Reiteration markers such as: ie, with the aim of, clarifying, etc...

Example:
Current technology is marked by the need to facilitate access, employment and use of products ranging from electronic devices to food, clothing and medicines.
The many years of research in the most diverse have resulted in multidisciplinary applications.

Understand:
