Meaning of Prospectus (What it is, Concept and Definition)

Prospect refers to condition of something that can happen, that is likely to happen.

In addition to representing the character of what has future prospects, the word prospect can also refer to the aspect, physiognomy, size, presence or vision of something.

From another point of view, a prospectus can still refer to the summary of the planning of a project or work.

In the advertising sphere, a brochure is known as part of the printed material to publicize an event, idea, product, etc., that is, a kind of “sample” about the general project.

In the same sense, a prospectus can also be understood as the announcement and dissemination of the printed material of a recently published book, containing the press release, abstract and other publicity articles of the work.

Etymologically, the word “prospectus” originated from the Latin prospectus, which can be translated as “the action of looking into the distance”.
