Meaning of GAPS (What It Means, Concept and Definition)

GAPS is an English term that means a detachment; separation, separation, a gap or a vacuum. GAPS is a widely used word that has different meanings depending on where it is used.

Gaps are gaps that appear in price charts over time, they are sudden changes in the levels of price, differences between the closing of quotations in a period and their opening in the subsequent period and etc.. When they happen, they create a “white” space between consecutive bars on the chart.
The gap can occur in 2 ways: bearish gap, which is when the current day's maximum price happens to be lower the previous day's minimum and bullish gap, when the current day's minimum price is higher than the day's maximum previous.

Gaps often indicate that something important has changed in the fundamentals of a particular company. There is a classification of different types of gaps: exhaustion gaps, breakout gaps, continuation gaps and so on.

Gaps also exist from a theological perspective and philosophical argument. God of the Gaps, or God of the Gaps, would be a view of God as an existing gap, through aspects of reality that are not explained by science or knowledge.
