Albert Einstein and Ceará

On March 14, 1879, Albert Einstein was born in Ulm (Württemberg, southern Germany).
In 1905, Einstein published for the first time the Restricted Theory of Relativity, which describes the movement towards inertial references.
In 1915 he generalized the theory of special relativity and rewritten Isaac Newton's theory of gravitation, proposing the Theory of General Relativity.
In general relativity, the phenomena that occurred due to the action of the force of gravity start to be understood in another way, in which they occur due to inertial motion in a space curved.
In the year 1919, more precisely on May 29, some English scientists, seeking to prove the theory of general relativity, stay in the city of Sobral, in the state of Ceará – Brazil, and on the island of Príncipe, Africa, motivated to verify if in fact the light came from of a star, when passing near the Sun, would suffer deviation due to the curvature that this massive celestial body causes in the Space time.

The theory of general relativity was proven in Sobral - Ce

The theory of general relativity is experimentally proven in the city of Sobral, because on the island of Príncipe it was not possible due to the cloudy sky that was found that day.
Although the celebrated physicist Albert Einstein did not come to Brazil at this time, his theory was proven in the city of Sobral, in the state of Ceará.
