The Islamic civilization was born in Arabia, a peninsula of 3 million km². Located in the Middle East, it has a dry and very hot climate.
Before the rise of Islam, the Arabs were polytheists, and the main city for Islamists is Mecca, in addition to being a large commercial center, because of the fairs present there.
It is the place where the Kaaba temple is located. Inside it was kept the venerated Black Stone, which was nothing more than a meteorite.
Islam had its beginnings marked by what happened to Muhammad, when he was meditating on Mount Hira. Muhammad had heard the angel Gabriel say that there was one God, Allah, and one prophet, Muhammad. After he was accepted by his relatives, he began to spread his ideas and preach.
In the year 630, Mohammed invaded Mecca, killed its opponents, destroyed the images of Kaaba and thus it was called the official city of Islam.
Islam means submission to God. For Muhammad, man should fully submit to the will of God. The adherent of Islam is called an Islamist or a Muslim.
