Commemorative dates: carry a historical and cultural context

With the consolidation of days and months through the calendar, it became natural to celebrate the passing of time. Whether with birthdays and national holidays, or with commemorative dates to remember an event, a profession or a personality, we learn early on to care about calendar events.

Historical and cultural issues surround the days and fill some dates with meaning, making them relevant to an entire community or at least a part of it. Some dates are remembered for their historical setting, others move commerce in the exchange of gifts and there are also days dedicated to religious celebration.

The history of civilization goes through important dates. To get to know a city, for example, it is necessary to go through the most relevant moments from the first residents, through emancipation to the present moment. History, symbolism and religiosity all give the days uniqueness and value.

Since World Peace Day up to New Year's Party there are celebrations of all kinds and for all tastes. O

Commemorative Dates Channel lists the main events celebrated throughout the year and contextualizes them, giving meaning to the elements that permeate their traditions.
