Cookies and Muffin Freezing Tips

As we already know, the school lunch box preparation routine it can be a lot of work, but this task doesn't have to be so exhausting as we have many instruments to facilitate and make everything more practical. A household appliance that can help, and a lot, is the freezer, since it preserves a lot of food well.

O Freezer can be a great ally when we prepare snacks, especially when we want vary carbohydrates in the school lunch box. Cakes and muffins in general can be frozen and, after thawing, they usually remain the same as when they were fresh. Therefore, my tip is to always freeze them as soon as they cool, as they will still be fresh after thawing.

The guidelines given for the time of freezing are:

  • Allow the muffins to cool completely, then wrap one by one with plastic wrap without leaving any contact with the air between the muffin and the plastic.
  • Label the cookies with shelf life of 1 month in the freezer and up to 3 months in the freezer.

  • Thawing

For defrosting, the instructions are:

  • To defrost, the cookies should not be at room temperature directly, but spend a minimum period of 6 hours in the refrigerator. Then they can go to room temperature and be eaten cold, or after some time at room temperature.
  • If you want to eat them warm, you can put them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 3 minutes.
