When analyzing the issue of language, we can perceive a diversity of elements that do not belong to the mother tongue, being incorporated into the vocabulary of the speakers.
Part of this framework are the foreignisms, which portray the strong influence exerted by other cultures, which are manifested in clothing, cuisine, music, cinema, behavior, and, above all, in language.
Currently, we can observe the increasingly frequent use of these foreign words, as factors resulting from globalization and the great advance of technological resources.
Among them, the following stand out: fashion design, case, job, joint ventures, show, deadline, among others.
It has become very common for us to hear people use this device in certain situations, such as: "Let's go to aHappy hour",“Let's have lunch at a Fast-Food”, “Let's go to Mega Hair Cabelereiros”, among others.
They are present in the media and on the Internet, as well as in the names of stores and supermarkets, wanting to make some kind of impression on the target audience.
Even if some words come from a foreign language, such as snacks and football (from English - lunch and football) They've already become Portuguese, it's always good to be careful about the improper pronunciation of certain expressions.
It is essential to take care of our image, especially with regard to linguistic competence in order to avoid certain constraints in certain situations.
