The famous Harvard University, located in the United States, is offering a online course for students around the world who are interested in learning about computer Science. The course is being offered by the Na Practica project, with the aim of offering education and skills development for professionals in different areas of activity.

This way, it is possible to take the course in English on Harvard's own website. For those who prefer to follow the content in Portuguese, a translated version is being made available free of charge by Fundação Estudar.

With an estimated duration of 12 weeks, the Introduction to Computer Science course has 25 class hours. In addition to theoretical classes, the course also includes a series of practical exercises. After completing classes, students receive a certificate proving their training.

Course is available for professionals of all levels

Called CC50, the course is taught by renowned professors at Harvard University. The modules were designed for people of all levels who want to learn about computer science. Therefore, the course is a great option for those who want to increase their knowledge in the area or for professionals who want to change areas.

In the curriculum, students will find classes on basic computing concepts and Internet. Among the contents taught are: data structures, abstraction, security, web development and some programming languages, such as Python, CSS and HTML. Additionally, there are classes on electronic systems, algorithms and software programs.
