Understand what the new stamps are
The Essential Seal, the most basic level, is earned after the passenger enters the name and CPF, which will display a blue shield to the driver. If only the CPF or the card are provided, the shield appears in gray.
The Premium Seal, on the other hand, requires a more comprehensive registration, including even a facial photograph that is validated through Artificial Intelligence.
The authenticity of the photo associated with the Premium Seal is verified through comparison with official documents such as RG and CNH, avoiding undue concessions. If the photo does not match the official records, the Premium Seal is not awarded.
How will these 99 safety devices work?
99 pointed out that its investments in security surpassed BRL 40 million this year alone. The company currently offers more than 50 security, such as online chat, sharing routes and identifying risk areas, achieving positive results – a 34% drop in reported incidents during the first half of 2023.
It is worth mentioning that, to prevent prejudice, 99 decided that the passenger's photo is only revealed to the driver after acceptance of the trip. After the start of the race, the photo is no longer visible.
Users will be able to request the Verification Seal from August 17th. Additionally, starting August 24th, users will be able to check their ratings in the app, a previously unreleased feature.
With these innovations, 99 reinforces its commitment to improving security and the experience of its users.
