In Brazil, Liga Steam was founded in 2022 and, since then, it aims to spread this educational approach in the schools from the country.
This is the second public notice offered to Brazilian educators and the objective is to train professionals who want to generate impacts on public networks and innovate in their pedagogical proposals.
Therefore, teachers from public and private education networks of basic education and higher education can participate in the new selection process of the Steam League.
How to enroll in the Steam methodology course?
“Whoever is going to carry out this implementation does not necessarily need to be trained in these areas”, said the director of Tríade Educacional, Lilian Bacich, to the Agência Brasil portal.
However, it is important to have knowledge about active methodologies, since the proposal encourages students' autonomy and protagonism.
Registration began on July 23rd and candidates have until August 23rd to enroll for free in the selection process. This can be done in Official Steam League website when filling out a questionnaire.
According to the announcement, the scheduled date for the announcement of the selected candidates is September 1st. The first stage of training takes place between September and December 2023.

50 hours of course and STEAM certificate
The course has 50 hours of online training divided into three phases of theoretical teaching, mentoring and project development, in addition to the STEAM certificate.
The league also reinforces that: “The STEAM Educator will be part of a qualified Brazilian group for the generation of materials that will become a reference for STEAM pedagogical practices in the classroom, receiving mentoring from experts and professionals in the field throughout this process."
For interested teachers, the project will still have a date to ask questions about the selection process. This activity will take place in a live on August 2nd.
