The registration period for the first edition of FIES 2022 has also been informed: between January 26th and 29th. As for the result, the expectation is that it will be available on February 3rd.
Vacancies for the program in 2022
In total, just over 100,000 vacancies will be offered between the first and second half of the year. In this way, the number of opportunities will be greater than in 2021, when the total number of vacancies was 93 thousand.
On the other hand, the amount of funding made available will still be smaller than in other years of the program. In 2018, for example, 465,000 students benefited.
New FIES
The Student Financing Fund (FIES) is a study financing program in which the student only starts paying after completing the course. According to the New FIES proposal, there will be a financing scale according to the family income of the person applying for the vacancy.
The student will be able to pay the installments according to their income limit and, in this way, the charges to be paid can be significantly reduced. This change is intended to enable greater access to higher education.
How to apply for a vacancy at FIES?
To compete for one of the funding vacancies, it is necessary to have taken one of the editions of the National Examination of Secondary Education (Enem) from 2010 onwards, having obtained an average equal to or greater than 450 points and not having completed zero essay.
Registration is done on the FIES Selection website. Just enter your CPF number, date of birth and an email address. Subsequently, the system will send a link to the registered email in order to activate the registration.
Next, you need to fill in an application form. After filling it out correctly, look for the educational institution and the course you intend to finance, as well as the desired campus and shift. Save the information and wait for the result.
