Among 600 professions of different levels of training, 90 pay better for women. In these cases, they earn at least 5% more than men.
These occupations are concentrated in the areas of education and health. The wages offered to men are at least 5% higher in 357 occupations. Another 153 professions have wage differences of less than 5%. According to the study, it can be considered equal pay.

Youth and Adult Education (EJA) is once again a federal priority
The assessment was carried out by the Quero Bolsa website, an online platform where students can obtain discounts from educational institutions, based on the 2018 General Register of Employed and Unemployed People (Caged).
“The purpose of our study is to provide the student with more accurate information on how much the career for the which he is preparing pays in the market", says the institutional relations manager of Quero Bolsa, Rui Gonçalves.
The biggest difference in favor of women is in the occupation director of public educational institution, which pays, on average, 68.97% more for them. The one who pays the most for men is a newspaper editorial director. The difference in their favor reaches 182.58%.
University education
According to the survey, men earn, on average, 45% more than women in Brazil. The data refers to those who have completed higher education. In this group, on average, men earn BRL 3,756.84 and women, BRL 2,592.65 per month.
Among those who have only completed high school, the difference in average wages between men and women is smaller, but men continue to earn more, 10.89%. In these positions, men earn, on average, BRL 1,570.89 and women, BRL 1,416.60.
“If we make this available, we believe that people will become aware of the wage differences between men and women and can take action to combat this type of practice”, argued Gonçalves.
