Common in Rio Grande do Sul, the coxilhas are the name given to the relief formations of fields, with small or large elevated areas. They are present in the prairies, also called pampas, a morphoclimatic domain characterized by the temperate climate and the herbaceous and grassy vegetation.
The coxilhas give a softly wavy appearance to the region. Because they are relatively flat, With few slopes, the relief is very used for cattle raising or soy or wheat monoculture.
