According to the tech giant, only computers and notebooks using Windows 10 or higher will have access to browser updates. In the words of the company itself: "You will have to ensure that your device works with Windows 10 or something higher to continue receiving future releases of Chrome".

And they still recommend that: “If you are currently on Windows 7 and/or Windows 8/8.1, we encourage you to migrate to a supported version of Windows to ensure you continue to receive the latest Chrome security and feature updates.”

The owner and responsible for the operating system, Microsoft, will end technical support and security updates for Windows 7 and Windows 8. This should be done today, January 10th, according to news. And not only that, support for WebView2 will not see any further updates either.

Google is also working on a new feature that will make it possible to continue media playback between different devices. For this, it will be necessary to make notifications between different devices.

There was a change in dates regarding Chrome 110, so this one had its early release in a week, but the initial stable release will be made available to a small portion of users. Most will have to wait until the previously planned date to take advantage of the browser upgrade.

  • Beta: January 12, 2023;
  • Initial release: February 1, 2023;
  • Stable release: February 7, 2023.

The company claims that making the initial version available provides a chance to monitor the operation and reception of the browser with new users, being able to adapt it before releasing the stable.
