Learn how to download the application and have access to your Digital ID
Currently, numerous documents are accepted in an online version. This is due to the practicality that the cell phone offers, keeping all important documents in one place. However, RG Digital was only recently developed. However, its use is already accepted and valid throughout the country.
This application was jointly developed by several states, as it is their responsibility to issue the citizen's RG. However, you need to confirm with your state's information sites, as some have not yet made the digital document available.
The states of Alagoas, Goiás, Pará, Paraíba, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and the Federal District already offer the service. Therefore, if you are a resident of any of these locations, you can already provide your digital RG.
Step by step
First, you'll need to go to your phone's app store. In it, open the search tab and look for “RG Digital”. Usually, this name appears followed by the initials of each state. Therefore, select the one referring to your state.
Then download the app. Once completely downloaded on your phone, go to the add ID option. To do this, simply scan the QR Code on the back of your physical document.
Afterwards, you will need to do facial recognition, in the same application, to confirm your identity, for security reasons. Once all these steps are completed, create a password to access the digital document, and finally you will be able to use the application with your digital RG.
