Thus, the creation of the gasoline voucher aims to mitigate the exceptional impact on fuel prices and bring relief to the situation. Gasoline allowance: amounts and who will be entitled
Bill 1.472/2021 stipulates that the aid must be paid according to the type of driver and vehicle, with different amounts. Thus, it provides for the payment of monthly installments for the beneficiary with a monthly family income of up to three minimum wages.
See the list of who is entitled:
- BRL 300.00 – taxi drivers, app drivers, small boat pilots, self-employed drivers in the area of cargo and individual transport and app bikers;
- R$ 100.00 – drivers of mopeds or motorcycles of up to 125 cylinders;
- Families registered in the Auxílio Brasil program;
- Families that receive the BPC (Benefit of Continuous Provision) from social assistance.
What are the steps to receive the program?
All taxi drivers and app drivers residing and working in Brazil must prove their activity by presenting a permission document to provision of service issued by city halls, private transport platform activated by application and still present proof of registration with the agency responsible.
In this way, the driver who receives the gasoline allowance in the amount of R$ 100.00 will be limited to one benefit per family. On the other hand, for amounts of R$ 100.00 and R$ 300.00, workers will have to have a family income of up to 3 minimum wages.
The subsidy will have a limited budget of R$ 3 billion for public coffers and will be preferably available to people registered in the Auxílio Brasil program. In March alone, the government paid the benefit to more than 18 million Brazilians.
In the approved project, it states that “for the year 2022, extraordinarily, the proposal for the allocation of profits of the Petrobras, will foresee measures aimed at mitigating the impacts of the volatility of the internal prices of petroleum derivatives and LPG”. In this way, the dividends paid to the Union will subsidize the new program.
