The proposal must, as usual, be discussed and approved by the senators, and to begin implementation, it must be analyzed and approved by President Jair Bolsonaro (PL). If sanctioned, the plan would still need to be regulated by the government before being put into effect.
The National Digital Education Plan comprises four main objectives: inclusion, education, training and proficiency. The proposal is authored by Deputy Angela Amin (PP-SC) and reported by Deputy Israel Batista (PSB-DF), and can still be changed during the course of Congress.

- “the development of skills aimed at digital literacy of young people and adults, progressively advancing towards proficiency”.
The Plan emerges as a response to one of the main challenges facing education during the Covid-19 pandemic, due to social isolation in 2020 and 2021.
The new law, if approved, will act directly on the expansion of free internet in public schools, intends to implement new courses in the area of new technologies at Fies, in addition to the distribution of digital devices for reading within the National Policy of Book.
