How it works?
Banco do Brasil (BB) and Caixa Econômica Federal announced on March 8, International Women's Day, some measures to support female entrepreneurship. In addition, Banco do Brasil created an equity platform for women, which has lower interest rates and credit facilities.
As previously mentioned, the bank will reduce interest rates by up to 45% for credit granted to individual entrepreneurs, small and micro companies that have women as owners this month. In addition, the president of Caixa, Pedro Guimarães, said that the reduction will also apply to medium-sized companies.
However, meritocratically, Caixa will reduce interest rates for medium-sized companies the greater the number of female directors. Still, according to Guimarães, the Caixa Mulher card will have a 37% reduction in the interest rate.
Conditions
According to Caixa, in women's month, working capital operations for MEIs, micro and small companies that have women as majority shareholders will have interest from 1.63% per month and up to 36 months to pay, in addition to up to 12 months of deficiency. The working capital line Credit Especial Empresa will have, this month, rates starting at 1.44% per month and a term of up to two years (24 months) to pay.
The majority shareholders of large companies will still have a line of credit to investment, with a minimum value of R$ 100 thousand, payment term of up to 60 months and grace period of up to one year (12 months). This credit has rates starting at CDI + 0.15% per month, throughout the term of the contract.
