Driving school may no longer be a mandatory requirement for obtaining a license
With the statement that the costs of obtaining driver's license are increasingly high, the article proposes that hiring a driving school is not mandatory for practical and theoretical exams. On the other hand, the senator's proposal also predicts that practical and theoretical tests will become more difficult, being approved only those who really learned about the laws and guidelines of Traffic.
In the bill there is also mention about the gratuity of the document, which will be refunded through the payment of traffic fines. This project, therefore, aims to make the process of getting a driver's license cheaper, not necessarily easier.
How will it work?
The project will allow the city hall to hire private instructors to assist in the learning process for obtaining the CNH. These specific instructors will be self-employed professionals who will be accredited by the state Detran and must meet the following requirements:
- Have at least three years of experience in the same category as the candidate;
- Have not had a license suspension or cancellation in the last five years;
- Have no pending case against them regarding traffic fines;
- Not be convicted of or respond to a traffic offense investigation.
According to the procedure, the bill that was sent to the CCJ will need to undergo analysis of legal, legal and constitutional aspects, and then go to vote. If approved, it will proceed to the next voting stage in the Chamber of Deputies.
