A study conducted in 2012 showed that continuous coffee intake can lower the risk of death from several serious diseases. In that study, about 402,260 people were tested and it was observed that people between the ages of 50 and 70 were less likely to get serious illnesses.
So, the point of the research is to drink about 4 to 5 cups a day of coffee, which has been shown to decrease the chances of early death by about 12% to 16%. Now, taking more than directed has not shown any benefit.
It is worth remembering that all these studies have an observational character, which cannot express with certainty whether coffee caused the reduction in the risk of death. However, the results have a certain guarantee.
