About the initiative: Caixa Pra Elas
This program was created to encourage, welcome and give chances to all Brazilian women. Through services aimed specifically at the female public, it offers guidance on violence prevention, promotion of financial education, entrepreneurship and products and services destined for them.
Caixa said that tackling domestic violence is everyone's responsibility and supports the cause. For this reason, it has information services on the Assistance Network for Women in Situations of Violence and Emergency Protective Measures.
The three pillars of the initiative
According to Daniella, the initiative is based on three pillars, with the aim of using all the strength of the network to disseminate and raise awareness among women on various subjects, such as the following:
- Prevention of violence against women;
- Promote entrepreneurship led by women, offering exclusive credits and guidance;
- Specific products, just for women, such as insurance and pensions.
Anticipation of Brazil Aid payments
Thus, Daniella brought forward the payment schedule for the new Auxílio Brasil, in the amount of R$ 600.00, during the launch of the Caixa pra Elas program. It is worth noting that the payment of this amount continues until the end of the year, in December.
This is due to the fact that women make up two thirds of the 20 million families that benefit from Auxílio Brasil. Therefore, there are more than 15 million women contemplated with this assistance.
According to the president, Caixa will also launch a campaign to encourage aid beneficiaries who currently work informally to start their own businesses. This will be done through funding and training made available in partnership with Sebrae.
