However, in the midst of chaos, some fast food restaurants and chains decided to spread solidarity and divulge recipes, some kept secret for years and under lock and key. The action aims encourage people to stay at home, get closer to customers and also, as a rule, do brand marketing.
But it is worth noting that many people have already tried to replicate the famous recipes at home and even teach others to reach a similar result. However, it is known that there were several attempts and errors, demonstrated even on YouTube channels.
Now with the original recipes in hand or on the screens, you can start practicing in the kitchen!
Burger King Secrets
O Burger King of France published, at the end of March, a poster listing the ingredients of its Whopper sandwich. But the recipe was adapted with products that can be purchased at the supermarket and by anyone, so you can reproduce it at home.
“Your Quarantine Whopper”, as the campaign suggests, includes bread, onions, pickles, ketchup, hamburger, mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato. With the list of ingredients, but without the method of preparation, that was the image. Afterwards, the network added other well-known sandwiches.

Queen's food
And as the competition doesn't want to lose its position, it didn't take long for the McDonalds, one of most popular fast food chains in the world, announced the step by step ofhow to make your egg and sausage McMuffin.
It didn't take long for him to be the subject of social network Twitter, with users discussing how to reproduce the recipe at home.
Sausage and Egg Mc Muffin – McDonald’s
Ingredients:
- english muffin
- 75 grams of sausage meat
- 2 eggs
- 4 slice of American cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method of preparation:
- Bake the muffins until they are golden brown.
- Season the sausage meat with salt and pepper and then form a ball.
- Mash the balls so they are the size of a hamburger and grill on both sides for about 6 to 7 minutes.
- Brush a metal rim with oil so the eggs don't break in the pan (and stay just like Mc's).
- Place the rim in the skillet and crack the two eggs inside it.
- Assemble the snack with a slice of bread, a slice of American cheese, the sausage patty and the egg on top, covering with the top of the bun.
Big Mac Sauce – McDonald's
However, this is not the first time that the network has made its famous recipes available to the public. In 2012, the executive chef of McDonalds, Dan Coudreaut, recorded a video teaching how to reproduce the Big Mac sauce. The video got nearly 7 million views.
After the initiative of these networks, others followed suit and decided to make their public revenue, creating a solidarity wave in gastronomy. In England, for example, the Pret A Manger released the recipe for their chocolate chip cookie.
