So, let's get to the recipe!
Ingredients:
To make the fried party snacks (coxinha, rissole, cheese balls and pepperoni), you will use the following ingredients for the dough:
- 500 ml of milk;
- 1 kg of wheat flour;
- 500 ml of water;
- 100g of margarine;
- 2 chicken broth tablets;
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch;
- Breadcrumbs and eggs (for breading).
As for the filling, it will be your customer's preference. However, here in Brazil it is very common to use chicken, as there is a preference for coxinha. In this case, you may be using a shredded chicken breast, properly seasoned and already cooked, to put it in the dough.
Way of doing:
To facilitate your understanding, we have written the recipe in a very simple step by step. Check out:
- Combine water, milk, and margarine in a large saucepan over medium heat;
- Then add the wheat flour little by little, remembering to keep stirring so the dough doesn't pack;
- In a little water, dissolve the chicken broths and then add to the pan mixture;
- Keep stirring and only stop stirring when the dough disapproves from the bottom of the pan;
- So let the dough cool down.
A great tip for those who prepare the dough for the first time and don't know the point, is to see if the dough is no longer sticking to the spoon. With this, you can sink the spoon into the dough, but it won't come back. And when you pull it back, you will see that the dough does not stick to the spoon.
Now, you shape the dough in the shape of your recipe, which can be round (for cheese balls, pepperoni, cod) or coxinha shape. With the stuffing inside, prepare a large pan with enough oil to fry, and make sure the oil is very hot when it emerges. Finally, after frying, just put them on a paper towel or napkin to remove excess oil and you're done!
