Step by step to make orange pudding cake
The orange pudding cake recipe is very simple to make, with an easy difficulty level. Also, the total prep time is about an hour and the yield is 10 servings.
However, if you want to make a larger or smaller pudding cake, just increase or decrease the ingredients proportionally. Check out the step by step below!
Ingredients
For the cake:
- 2 cups of traditional wheat flour (unleavened);
- 1 cup of orange juice tea;
- 3 cups of sugar;
- 3 separated egg whites;
- 1 tablespoon full of butter;
- 3 separate egg yolks;
- 1 coffee spoon of chemical baking powder.
For the pudding:
- 6 tablespoons of sugar;
- 1 can of Nestlé condensed milk;
- 3 chicken eggs;
- 700 ml of orange juice;
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence.
Method of preparation
The first step is to prepare the pudding syrup. Then, put the six spoons of sugar in a mold with a central hole, let it melt, spread it all over the container and set aside.
Then, get a blender to make the pudding and add the condensed milk, orange juice, eggs and vanilla. Beat all the ingredients until it becomes a homogeneous mixture, transfer to the pan with the caramelized sugar and set aside.
Now let's prepare the cake. First add the egg whites to the mixer, make a snow and place the egg yolks one by one, beating well. Without delay, add the sugar, butter and gradually incorporate the wheat flour, alternating with the orange juice and continue mixing.
When the dough is very homogeneous and smooth, add the yeast and beat a little more. Then, transfer the contents to the pudding mold and place in a medium oven (200ºC), in a bain-marie, for one hour or until golden and firm.
Finally, just remove the pudding cake from the oven, unmold it when it is cold and enjoy your dessert!
