600,000 truck drivers can benefit
Estimates by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security indicate that approximately 600,000 truck drivers should receive Truck Driver Assistance by the end of the program, in December. So far, only 190,000 professionals have withdrawn the R$2,000 for the July and August installments.
The number is lower than previously estimated by the government. The idea was that 900,000 truck drivers across the country would benefit from this benefit. The reason for the reduction in number is due to the performance of Dataprev, the company responsible for analyzing data and listing the drivers who can participate in the program.
Truckers who haven't received it yet can withdraw the R$2,000
To receive the Truck Driver PIX, you need to register, which includes a self-declaration of your profile and a record of your truck driver activity. The deadline provided by the Federal Government for this operation ended last Monday, August 29th.
The purpose of self-declaration until the 29th is to include truck drivers who were left out of the first round of payment in the payment schedule. Thus, on September 6th, the amount of R$2,000 will be deposited in the driver's account, as retroactive payment of the July and August installments.
For this reason, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security estimates that the number of 600,000 workers may increase by December. For those who missed the deadline of the 29th, it will be possible to make a new self-declaration. However, the amounts received will not include the retroactive R$2 thousand.
Thus, truck drivers will have 4 more opportunities to declare the registration of the activity, until September 11th, October 9th, November 13th and December 4th. At the time, if it is contemplated in September, it will receive the values from September onwards, without retroactive effect. The same goes for the following months.
