Payments of the second installment of the 13th salary of retirees, pensioners and other INSS beneficiaries will start on Wednesday, May 25th. As in the previous two years, the federal government anticipated payments of the 13th salary of INSS also in 2022. As a result, the first installment was paid together with the relevant April benefit, while the second installment will be paid during the month of May.
The 13th salary is a right of the INSS granted to those who receive retirement, assistance due to an accident, that is, sickness benefit; reclusion aid; collection aid, or pension for death. In this sense, it should be noted that participants in assistance programs, such as the BPC, do not receive.
How will the discount on the 2nd installment work?
The first installment of the Christmas bonus was equal to 50% of the amount due in April, without discounts. However, the second installment may include some discounts, such as income tax. In addition, if access to temporary benefits is terminated before December 31, 2022, or before the scheduled date, the value of the 13th will be calculated proportionally. In this scenario, the citizen will be obliged to return the difference.
2nd installment payment schedule
The insured are divided into two groups: those who earn a minimum wage and those who earn more than the minimum wage. The release follows the order of the final benefit number.
Therefore, beneficiaries who receive up to a minimum wage with final number 1, 2 and 3 will receive the amount of the second installment on May 25, 26 and 27, respectively. Those with final numbers 4 and 5 will receive on May 30th and 31st. In the first week of June, beneficiaries with the end of the number 6, 7 and 8 will be able to access the value on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of June, respectively. Finally, those ending in 9 will receive it on June 6th and those ending in 0 will receive it on June 7th.
For those who earn more than one minimum wage, the benefit will be made available in June. Therefore, those ending in 1 and 6 will be able to receive on June 1st, those ending in 2 and 7 on June 2nd, and those ending in 3 and 8 on June 3rd. After that, those with the ending 4 and 9 will receive the value on June 6th and those with the numbers 5 and 0 on June 7th.
