Last Sunday, December 18th, the selection of Argentina won the World Cup for the third time. The competition based in Qatar consecrated Messi, number 10 of the national team and soccer star, as one of the greatest players in history.
In addition to all the emotion surrounding the star's last Cup, the Argentine team still managed to break the 36-year fast without lifting the Jules Rimet cup.

The final of this year's competition will go down as a very exciting match. Commentators who covered the Cup pointed out that this was the most memorable final in recent times. The Latin American team led the game for about 80 minutes, until a penalty came up for France.
Then, Mbappé reduced the score to 2 to 1, and then managed to lead the European team to a draw in the second half, which ended in 2 to 2. In overtime, there were two more goals, one for each team. Finally, Argentina won the competition in the penalty shootout after great emotion.
The World Cup has been taking place for 92 years, and even so, the group of champion teams is very restricted. In all these years, only eight teams managed to reach first place in the championship.
The biggest teams in the world
The Brazilian team won its last title 20 years ago, but it is still the biggest champion of world Cup. Amarelinha has won five championships, being the only five-time champion team in history. The last Brazilian title was won in 2002, against Germany, winning 2-0 in the final game.
Next are Germany and Italy, both with four Cup titles. Argentina, with the victory in 2022, isolated itself as the only team with three Cups won.
The two-time champion teams in the FIFA competition are France and Uruguay. With only one title, right behind, Spain and England. The list, as you can see, is completely selective.
