You precision sports are a set of modalities that aim to design an object to hit or approach a static or moving target.
They are examples: golf, snooker, bowling, shooting, archery, darts, croquet, curling and bocce.
Among these, some sports can be practiced individually, such as sport shooting and archery, and also played in teams, as well as bocce and croquet.
The main difference between precision sports and the others is that when making the moves there is no interaction between opponents.
The main characteristics of precision sports are:
- Games are basically formed by a competitor or team, object to be launched and target;
- There is no direct confrontation between participants. The player's performance determines victory;
- Using the appropriate instruments for each modality, the competitors must have, above all, good aim to win the competition;
- During the game you must have controlled movements in handling the object to throw, hit or launch and hit the given target.
As to rules to carry out precision sports, the distance between the thrown object and the target is basically taken into account, but also the number of attempts to reach it. Therefore, the closer to the reference point, the higher the score and the fewer attempts made, the greater the player's advantage.
To be efficient in the practice of precision sports it is necessary to have motor control, good aim, concentration, strength, speed and physical resistance.

In bowling, whoever makes the most points wins, which is counted by the number of knocked down pins.
If in the first throw the competitor manages to knock down all the pins, the move is called strike. When the set of pins lands on both throws, a match is said to have occurred. spare.
