Since its launch at the end of 2022, consumers have started to find some reasons that discourage the purchase of the new Honda HR-V.
For many, the new version proved to be very inferior when compared to the previous version, as well as compared to other models. Check out the main reasons here:
1. smaller trunk
One of the main items that bothered consumers of the new Honda HR-V was the volume of the trunk. That's because the new model came with 83 liters less compared to the previous generation.
More precisely, there was a decrease from 437 to 354 liters. In addition, the layout of the passenger compartment was much smaller than other models, such as the Jeep Renegade.
2. High Price
Those who paid more attention to prices noticed that the vehicle's price is well above the market average in the SUV segment.
It is currently possible to find the vehicle for sale from R$ 148,000, which many consider a price that does not match the vehicle's offers. For example, the Jeep Renegade Sport appears at a much more affordable price and with more attractive features.

Despite all the previous items being relevant, it is the performance that most displeased buyers. That's because the 1.45 liter engine with 126 hp and 15.8 torque can't handle what the customer expected.
After all, in the previous version it was possible to reach 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.9 seconds, whereas now it takes 11.8 seconds.
5. Technical problems
A number of complaints have arisen about technical problems in newly acquired vehicles. According to information, a couple from Goiânia purchased an HRV Touring model and, in less than a month, witnessed the light panel accusing brake failures and another 20 different alerts flashing frantically.
When seeking support at the dealership, the couple discovered that the situation was not isolated: several other owners of the same model were facing similar technical complications.
