Imotepe: this is the name of the father of the Egyptian calendar, which begins with the appearance, on the horizon of Memphis (ancient city of the pharaohs), of the star Sothis. From that determination, the Egyptian year always begins on July 16th. Because of this, astrologers at the time created 12 signs, and named each of them after an Egyptian god. Remember that Egyptians were polytheists, and many kings were considered gods.

According to Egyptian belief, each sign is strongly influenced by the deity that governs it. In this way, see the horoscope below and draw your conclusions:

Ra, God of the Sun (July 16 to Aug 15)

Ra is considered the father of all living things. Therefore, leadership, courage and the ability to protect are the main positive characteristics of those governed by him. However, people of the Ra sign tend to react badly when they are contradicted, even if they are not spiteful. They tend to be proud, strong and defiant, which may not be ideal when they are at a disadvantage, as they are not usually the best losers.

Neith, the mother goddess of war and hunting (Aug 16 to Sep 15)

Regarded as the goddess of war, it may be counterintuitive that people ruled by this sign are... patient and careful. They tend to be highly perfectionistic people, which can lead to frustration when things don't go as desired.

Best friends of security, comfort and stability, these people don't like to be in stressful situations and tend to miss routine when they can't have it.

Maat, goddess of justice and truth (16/Sep to 15/Oct)

Drawing a parallel, the sign of Libra (born between 23/Sep to 22/Oct) is known for justice and balance. Her symbol is even a scale. Justice, truth and balance are the motto of those governed by Maat, daughter of Ra. She is marked by being contrary to prejudice and injustice. People of this sign are usually simple, not opulent or exaggerated.

Osiris, god of fertility and the dead (Oct 16 to Nov 15)

Intense emotions and a lot of difficulty sharing them. A characteristic sense of justice and loyalty to their ideals. These are the most outstanding qualities of Osiris' rulers.

On the other hand, they are extremely suspicious, selfish and explosive people.

Hathor, goddess of joy and the sky (16/Nov to 15/Dec)

Sensuality, joy and sympathy. Clearly, characteristics of the goddess of joy. The main way to conquer people of this sign is to escape boredom and routine, play seduction and have a spirit as young as theirs.

Anubis, god of the dead and dying (16/Dec to 15/Jan)

Extremely determined and motivated, protégés of the god Anubis understand that discipline, patience and intelligence are the key to achieving their goals. Therefore, these are their main characteristics, being very attractive and magnetic.

Bastet, goddess of fertility (Jan 16 to Feb 15)

After the sign of the god of the dead, we move on to the sign of the goddess of fertility. Generosity, empathy and affection are your strengths. Your devotion to relationships is easily seen. Loyal and cheerful sign, with a need for freedom and independence. Temperament can be worrying, as they tend to get angry over small issues.

Tauret, goddess of childbirth (Feb 16 to Mar 15)

People ruled by Tauret tend to be kind and sensual, which attracts everyone's attention - whether romantically or otherwise. They don't usually stay in relationships where there is no reciprocity, and they perceive this lack of sentimental return because they are sensitive and very intuitive.

Sekhmet, goddess of strength and war (16/Mar to 15/April)

The eye of the Sun, the goddess encourages people of her sign to get out of inertia, especially to make decisions and start positive trajectories. They are energetic and adventurous people, and tend to have several loves throughout their lives.

Ptah, god of fertility (April 16 to May 15)

Patience, claw and perseverance. Protégés are often artistic, with a talent for crafts, and are spiritual. However, they are stubborn people and do not give up their opinions easily.

Thoth, goddess of communication (May 16 to June 15)

Good diction, expressiveness and persuasiveness: do not be alarmed if you are convinced by a child of Thoth. Communicativeness is a striking feature of this sign, as well as intelligence, coldness and inconstancy in feelings, especially romantic ones.

Isis, the goddess of love (June 16 to July 15)

Protégés of the Egyptian goddess Isis tend to be extremely sentimental, loving, faithful and understanding. Due to their empathy and love of others, they tend to make great friends and advisors. The main obstacle for those with this sign is usually excessive neediness, which must be controlled.
