A study by researchers at Kean University in New Jersey, published in the scientific journal PLOS ONE, suggests that social interaction is the secret to being less sedentary. That's because someone else's encouragement can be enough to push someone to develop a healthier lifestyle.
It was even possible to notice that, when alone, people are less likely to develop an active lifestyle than when accompanied. So researchers go so far as to suggest that the main secret to being active is having a friend who is even more active than you are to motivate you.
