Magisterium is the name given to the professorship, involving all their exercise within this profession.

How to pursue a career in teaching?
To be able to build a career in the teaching area, the teacher must follow the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education (LDB), established by Law No. 9,394/96.
According to these guidelines, teachers are advised to complete a higher education course in order to teach. But, until the year 2020, professionals who only took the teaching course, offered to people who completed high school, will still be accepted.
With the teaching course, until 2020, teachers can teach children in kindergarten and for the first four years of elementary school (from 1st to 4th grade).
However, with the development of the National Education Plan (PNE), all teachers must have higher education to be able to teach.
National Education Plan (PNE)
The PNE, approved in 2014, was created to define investment and improvement goals in the quality of education in the country. The plan set goals that must be progressively met by 2024.
In addition to the recommendation for teachers to enter a university course, as there is a provision of higher education for the coming years, the plan foresees measures to enhance these professionals.
According to the document, people who work in the teaching area should gradually have their salaries matched to other professionals with similar training.
