Many people resort to betting on lotteries to achieve their dream of having enough money to have everything they want. That was the story of Frances Conolly who, along with her husband, decided to try their luck and they succeeded! But what is most striking is that this woman spent millions to feed her biggest 'addiction'.

The amount that Frances and Patrick have won is extraordinary and can buy a multitude of huge things, including a yacht or an island. However, they chose a single destination for a good part of the jackpot or, more precisely, half of it. In this case, the couple chose to donate that money to charities.
According to Frances herself, giving charity turned into an “addiction” at a certain point, when she began to realize how much helping others made her feel good. Thus, the custom of making donations to institutions and NGOs was already something that preceded winning the lottery. Including, she was very happy with the possibility of feeding the “addiction” even more.
This understanding that giving charity can be addictive is nothing new. Around the world, there are people who have dedicated their lives to each other because they believe that the best reward of all would be to see the world better. At least this time, one of these people had in their hands the real opportunity to invest in it with determination.
More opportunities to help others
In addition to the huge donations, the couple Frances and Patrick realized that it would be possible to do much more with this money. That's why they decided together to create at least two charities that could serve to help more people. In this case, these institutions would be in the couple's country of residence, in Northern Ireland.
Frances even took advantage of this moment to do something really impressive, which would be to present someone she loves. So she decided to name one of the foundations after her late mother, Kathleen Graham. Certainly, this is one of those stories of love and dedication that warm anyone's heart!
