With the evolution of technology, the capacity for human exploration of space has been increasing. One of the greatest obsessions of human beings, Mars is our main study material. With that, several space missions collected a lot of information about the red planet. Recently, new records from mars were captured by NASA. Then check out the news.

It was at a distance of 183 meters, traveled for about two minutes, that the Mars Ingenuity helicopter, on Mars, took its flight number 41. As part of the Perseverance mission, the activity aimed to find traces of past lives on the red planet. Check out more details of this adventure now:
Getting to Know the Mars Ingenuity Helicopter
In order to assist in the Mars 2020 mission, NASA launched a flying support from the Perseverance rover known as the Ingenuity helicopter. The vehicle is the first to fly on a planet other than Earth, making it obtain several historical records of Mars.
To record Mars, Ingenuity has a camera that sends a capture of the Martian surface.
Collected data
Through the search for traces of Martian life, the Perseverance mission collected 10 tubes containing samples from the surface of the planet. The Perseverance rover deposited part of the samples in the Martian soil itself, with the intention of leaving them as a backup, in case something goes wrong.
The samples that remained with the rover are expected to reach planet Earth in about 10 years. In addition to soil samples from Mars, the mission collected a tube with atmospheric samples in order to identify any type of contamination of the rover's materials.
Furthermore, even flying just 14 meters away from the Martian surface, Ingenuity was extremely efficient in searching for the data. Reaching Earth successfully, the information collected will give us even more knowledge about the red planet.
