Enem 2023: registration ends this Friday, but fee can be paid…
According to Alexsandro Santos, director of policies and guidelines for comprehensive basic education at the MEC, the Enem aims to evaluate the basic general education of students, covering traditional teaching disciplines basic.
This assessment aims to verify students' knowledge and skills in these fundamental areas of curriculum, in addition to other subjects, in order to provide a comprehensive view of the education received during the high school.
During the meet point of the Education Reconstruction project, carried out by Estadão, it was highlighted that the Enem is considered fair, since it focuses on the common curriculum for all students. Enem assumed a central role as the main entrance test for public and private universities in Brazil.
After demands from entities related to professors and students requesting the repeal of the law that established the new high school, the MEC started a public consultation so that everyone could express opinions about the new curriculum educational.
Change in exam
As the exam is one of the main influencers of the curricula of public and private education networks, this public consultation seeks to involve society's opinion and collect contributions on the subject.
According to Santos, the decision to change or not the Enem test in 2024 will depend on the extent of the planned transformations.
He emphasizes that, if the result of the public consultation points to the possibility of a transformation that could impact the exam next year, this change will be carried out.
The Ministry of Education is open to considering the opinions and contributions received during the public consultation as part of the Enem evaluation and improvement process.
According to Santos, it is important to be cautious in relation to the generations of students regarding the change in the Enem test. Those who will take the Enem in 2024 are already preparing for the test, so a significant transformation would be unfair to them.
As a result, one of the possibilities discussed at MEC, according to information gathered by Estadão, is the implementation of a transition Enem, which would undergo gradual changes to adapt to a new model.
The proposal indicates that, possibly, the Enem would be modified in 2024, since it would be the last year of the effective implementation of the new curriculum.
As implemented, in 2022, schools had to make adjustments to the curriculum for the first year, followed by the second year in 2023.
Thus, next year, 2024, it would be the turn of the third year of high school to undergo changes in the new educational model.
The idea of modifying the exam during this period is related to the final stage of the transition to the new high school format, seeking to adapt the assessment to the updated curriculum and the needs of students.
