What are unhealthy and dangerous activities?

Hazardous activities are all those which, by their nature or work methods, expose workers to permanent contact with explosives, electricity, ionizing materials, radioactive materials or flammable materials under hazardous conditions significant.

Unhealthy activities are those that expose employees to substances that are harmful to health beyond what is permitted by law.

What is Special Retirement?

The specific category of special pensions occurs because it is a social security benefit granted to workers who exercise work activities that expose them to dangerous substances that may, over time, cause damage to their health and integrity body.

Who is entitled to a special pension?

Every worker who works in unhealthy or dangerous situations is entitled to this benefit. Such exposure to hazardous substances in the workplace must occur over a specified period of time.

In order to receive this pension, workers must demonstrate effective exposure to hazardous substances in all cases, having as a parameter the time of contribution and the minimum age:

  • Be 55 years old + 15 years of high-risk activity;
  • Be 58 years old + 20 years of medium risk activity;
  • Be 60 years old + 25 years of low-risk activity.

Some professions that entitle to this retirement

  • Low risk activity: 25 years of activity

Airway; Auxiliaries or General Services; Fireman; Surgeon; Dentist; Electrician (above 250 volts); Nurse; Chemical, Metallurgical and Mining Engineers; Journalist; surface miners; Bus driver; Armed Guard; and others.

  • Medium risk activity: 20 years of activity

White Phosphorus and Mercury Extractor; Ink Manufacturer; Lead Melter; Explosive Charger; Fire Officer; and others.

  • High risk activity: 15 years of activity

Crusher; Rock loader; Cavouqueiro; brooder; Miners underground; Underground rock crusher operator; Rock Drill in Caves.
