New rules and new proposals for the social program Bolsa Familia were released by Wellington Dias, Minister of Development and Social Assistance. He presented the new benefit amounts and confirmed that more than 1 million people will be excluded from the Single Registry (CadÚnico). Bolsa Família, formerly known as Auxílio Brasil, benefits more than 20 million low-income beneficiaries in the country. They legally receive families that are in financial vulnerability, registered in the Single Registry of the Federal Government.
According to G1, around 1 million people did not comply with the basic rules to receive the amount monthly and another 393,500 people presented themselves with inconsistent registration rules.
As a result, new leads can be reached. Brazilians in a situation of financial vulnerability, able to receive the amounts, were not part of the payroll.
“We were able to evaluate the database and bring, as of this March, 700,000 people who meet the requirements and were starving, in need. These people will now receive Bolsa Família”, analyzed Wellington Dias.

Last week, the Federal Government signed the measure that had been promised during the election campaign. In a ceremony at the Planalto Palace, last Friday, the 3rd, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), together with Minister Wellington Dias, announced the new rules for the program.
As of March 20, therefore, the new values will be passed on to families.
A monthly transfer of R$ 600 was announced, plus an additional R$ 150 per child up to six years of age and an addition of R$ 50 for pregnant women and for those between 7 and 18 years old.
These are values referring to Provisional Measure 1,164/23 that established new rules for the program.
