“There seems to be something new in every room we cut”
In 2022, the Canadian couple Cassidy Casale and Eton Merritt acquired their recent home, a house with 150 years of construction. During the renovation of their new home, they decided to create an account on the TikTok social network to publicize this new phase of their lives.
As soon as it started, the renovation involved the discovery of the most varied objects and antiques hidden throughout the house, and which were the attraction of the canal, from jewelry to the most diverse utensils.
“There seems to be something new waiting in every room we cut,” reports Cassidy.

What they didn't imagine is that one of the most common objects found during the renovation could be the most valuable. During one of the recordings for their social media account, they showed their newest discovery, an old Pepsi soda can.
Success was immediate, accumulating more than 13 million views and 700,000 likes, as the can in question was a rare object. However, until that moment they had no idea that they had found a piece worthy of collection.
Originating in the 1970s, the soda can is one of Pepsi's originals, and is highly prized by collectors. There are already bids for your sale right there, in the comments and direct on the social network.
The value of the relic has not yet been assessed, but the couple promises to post more about it soon. As well as continuing, now even more diligently, the renovation of the house, making a point of looking closely at every corner of the property, in the search for treasures.
